Run the Woods

A unique trail run on Timber Pointe Outdoor Center’s trails and surrounding area.

The beautiful setting, located on Lake Bloomington, draws more than 200 runners and is included on the Lake Run Club’s circuit. A 5K and 8K option are both offered, as well as a 1-mile hike. All runners registered by August 31 will receive a long-sleeve T-shirt.

Enjoy the beautiful outdoors, while supporting Easterseals Central Illinois and Timber Pointe Outdoor Center.

5K | 8K Race Fees

All participants will receive a long-sleeved t-shirt included with registration, before 8/31.
Registrations after 8/31 are not guaranteed a long-sleeve t-shirt.

1-Mile Hike Fees

Available for all ages for $25
Long-sleeved T-shirt included with registration, before 8/31. Shirts not guaranteed thereafter.

Owned and operated by Easterseals Central Illinois, Timber Pointe Outdoor Center is the premier resource in the state of Illinois for providing specialized outdoor recreational, experiential and family programs for individuals with disabilities and illnesses in a fun, safe and accessible environment. Timber Pointe Outdoor Center offers programs throughout the year. Summer programming, in particular, gives way to many opportunities for children and adults. Over 1,200 participants will attend on or more programs in a given summer.

These programs include residential and day programs, contracted partner groups and rental groups. Whatever the need, it is said that Timber Pointe Outdoor Center is a magical place serving some of the neatest people in the world.

About Easterseals Central Illinois

Easterseals Central Illinois provides exceptional services to ensure that children with developmental delays, disabilities, and other special needs can reach their full potential.

It has been over 100 years since the roots of Easterseals were planted in Central Illinois. What started as a once-a-week clinic in a downtown storefront in Peoria for just a few children, has blossomed into two Pediatric Service Centers, two Child and Family Connection Centers, Easterseals Learning Academy school, and Timber Pointe Outdoor (recreational) Center; collectively serving over 6,000 of children and adults with disabilities and their families every year.
